We designed this piston, and have had it produced professionally now on Industrial 3D Printers. The metal rack is steel made.
This set comes in 3 parts, a spacer, piston body, and rack, and is designed to work with the original TM piston head.
Please Do a Full interference check, and install the piston, cylinder, piston head, and Anti-reverse latch. Without the o ring! then slide the piston up and down. IS IT FREE MOVING. Or does it hit on the Anti-reverse latch? If and it probably does the ARL will need to be dremeled back in width at the top for proper piston clearance. We will eventually make a new ARL to go with this piston as a set, until then, a little tech work is required. Reducing the top side diameter of the ARL doesn't impact performance. But fitting a full metal rack centrally on a thicker piston dramatically increases piston strength. Trade-off = is worth it. And a great example how changing designs, rather than copying can be for the better.
We have tested the NEW stronger piston body with a non-glued rack and it has passed with flying colors, however, we recommend bonding the rack with glue or Loctite 638.
This was tested on 11.1v but we have not done EXTENSIVE testing to truly prove it 11.1v ready. So please only use 7.4v.
